Pricing & billing questions
How subscriptions, seats, and the shared credit pool work.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan includes a number of technician seats and a monthly allowance of certified device checks that refills on your renewal date. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from the billing portal.
What counts as a “check”?
A check is one completed certified device test that issues a Synapse certificate. Your plan’s monthly checks are shared across your whole team through a single credit pool.
What happens if I run out of checks?
Your pool refills each billing cycle. If you regularly hit your limit, upgrade to the next tier for more monthly checks and seats — your team keeps the same shared pool, just larger.
Can I add or remove team members?
Yes. Owners and admins can invite technicians up to the plan’s seat limit and manage roles from the dashboard. Invites are sent by email and accepted in a click.
Can I change plans later?
Absolutely. Switch tiers anytime from the Stripe billing portal; changes take effect on your subscription and your seat and check limits update accordingly.
Do I need to sign in before subscribing?
Yes — you sign in first (email magic link or Sign in with Apple), then start checkout. That links the subscription to your account so your organization and team are provisioned automatically.
